Chrissy Teigen’s Family Donates $288K to ACLU

Chrissy Teigen and her family donated $288,000 to the American Civil Liberties Union in “celebration” of Donald Trump’s birthday.

Chrissy Teigen is an outspoken, hilarious and multi-talented woman. When she voices her opinions it can be a very powerful thing.

This was proved on June 14th, when she posted a message via social media regarding the refugees in America “being ripped apart due to the inhumane policies of the Trump administration.”

For Trump’s 72nd birthday, she chose to donate $72,000 per family member to the ACLU. Teigen encouraged all to donate to the ACLU because they advocate for immigrant rights, reproductive rights, voting rights, LGBT rights, and more.

She has been public about her opinions of the current political climate and presidency, “trolling him [Trump] for about 5 to 7 years.” Teigen has been blocked by Trump before but found herself in luck as federal law mandates that the president cannot block critical followers from viewing his tweets.

Her family is donating to a foundation that supports many Americans and is fighting for the refugee cause.

It is a bold statement, but they have expressed their outrage clearly. They are unhappy with the administration and the lack of support for immigrant families, with actions that “go against everything [they] believe this country should represent.”
