Sandra Oh Makes Emmy History with New Nomination
Sandra Oh has made Emmy history the nomination of her role as Eve Polastri in Killing Eve.
There are a lot of nominations to go crazy about for the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards and one of them is making history. Sandra Oh has received an Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series nomination for her role in Killing Eve. Why is this making history? It means that Oh is the first Asian actress to be nominated in this particular category.
But being nominated for an Emmy is nothing new to Oh as she has been nominated five other times for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her work in Grey’s Anatomy. Maybe this nomination could be her first win.
The other actress up for the Outstanding Lead Actress Emmy are Clarie Foy for The Crown, Keri Russell for The Americans, Evan Rachel Wood for Westworld, Tatiana Maslany for Orphan Black, and 2017’s winner Elisabeth Moss for The Handmaid’s Tale. We will be able to see all the winners on September 17.
