Thai Cave Rescue to Be Inspiration for Museum and Two Movies
Over the last two weeks, the world has watched as volunteer forces from all over the world searched for, and eventually rescued the 12 teenage soccer players and their coach from a flooded cave in Thailand.
Now, with the young boys safe and recovering at a hospital in Chiang Rai, people are looking to capitalize on the harrowing events that took place in that Northern Thai cavern.
The former governor of the Chiang Rai province, Narongsak Osottanakorn, has some of the highest hopes for the Tham Luang cave system where the boys found themselves in perilous danger. “The area will become a living museum, to show how the operation unfolded. An interactive database will be set up. It will become another major attraction for Thailand,” he stated.

The caves aren’t all that popular of a tourist destination for the moment. With no tourist infrastructure to support the swath of visitors that locals are expecting, it simply makes sense to create a space for people to appreciate the events that took place there.
In lieu of a trip to Thailand, we can patiently await the–not one but two–films that are set to depict the story of the Tham Luang soccer players, according to a report by BBC News.
