‘Rugrats’ Makes a Comeback
The beloved children’s cartoon is set to return to Nickelodeon, along with a live-action movie.
Most all ’90s kids’ can recall a fond memory of watching Tommy Pickles and his pals embark on their baby adventures together, and the kids of today will officially be granted that same pleasure.

Rugrats now has a green light for 26 new episodes on Nick and an additional film featuring CGI characters. Original creators Arlene Klasky, Gábor Csupó and Paul Germain will return to the show as executive producers, and production is already underway with a forthcoming airdate. The movie is written by David Goodman and will premiere November 13 of 2020.
“Rugrats is hands-down one of the most celebrated cartoons in TV history, and we are thrilled for a whole new audience to meet these iconic characters in brand-new adventures,” said COO of Viacom Media Networks and interim president of Nickelodeon Sarah Levy in a statement.
The original series aired from 1991 to 2004, while the spinoff All Grown Up! ran from 2003 to 2008, but the relaunch will allow old fans and new, young audiences alike to enjoy an updated animated classic by the end of the decade.
