‘Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants’ to be Made into a Musical
It looks likes Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is taking a note from Mean Girls by being made into a musical.
What once started out as a series of Ann Brashares novels, became two iconic films, is now making its way to the musical stage.
If you have don’t know the story of Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, it focuses on four high school best friends who discover a pair of pants that fit them perfectly, even though they all have different body types. They believe there is magic in the pants and each friend keeps the pants for a portion of their summer that will hopefully help them get through trials of broken hearts, loneliness, love, and more.
The film adaption included Blake Lively, Alexis Bledel, America Ferrera, and Amber Tamblyn as the four best friends. In fact, the four actresses have recently pitched the third movie, so hopefully, we will hear double sisterly news in the future.
While there isn’t much known about the project, we do know that a production company, Blue Spruce Productions, has obtained the live theatrical rights. More details are expected to come out in the next few weeks. Until then, movie marathon anyone?
