Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s One Rule of Friendship
There is but one thing their friends aren’t allowed to do.
As a newly wedded royal couple, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have obviously had to set a lot of ground rules for their new, majestic life together in general–and one in particular which pertains to their pals.
With the massive amount of attention that they receive from both the media and the public, it’s a no-brainer that they must have some system for controlling what gets out about the more personal side of their relationship when cast under such a pristine spotlight. Therefore, the law of the land is that a friend of theirs who speaks to the press is no friend at all.

That’s right, as an inside source told Vanity Fair, “If you talk to the press, you’re out,” adding, “They both expect a code of silence. Harry didn’t used to care that much about what was written. But he’s very protective of Meghan and defensive these days.”
This request is decidedly reasonable when you consider the major repercussions of just one spill and the audacity of any friend who would feel justified in freely giving out privileged information. Meghan and Harry are naturally concerned with their privacy, as should be their close friends out of respect, after all.
