Netflix Releases First Photos of ‘The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’
The upcoming Netflix series isn’t messing around when they say “chilling” according to the first official photos of the show.
Sabrina (played by Kiernan Shipka) is up to some spooky activities in the photos. In one, we can see the witch newcomer walking through the woods in a red coat and matching bag. It looks like she has a walking stick, too, so we wonder just how deep she could be going into the forest.
The other photo shows Sabrina taking part in the “dark baptism.” Behind Sabrina are her two aunts, Hilda and Zelda. Conducting the baptism is Father Blackwood, who is the High Priest of the Church of Night and Dean of the Academy of the Unseen Arts.
The Sabrina reboot won’t be the cute and funny show that you know and love. The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina will instead take note from Riverdale as dark, twisted, and totally crazy. But this makes sense because the Riverdale creator, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, also created this new series.
Along with Kiernan Shipka as Sabrina are Ross Lynch, Miranda Otto, Lucy Davis, and Richard Coyle. The show will debut on Netflix October 26.
