Urban Decay is Sharing Beautifully Untouched Photos on Instagram
Urban Decay is doing something other beauty companies fear to do: sharing untouched beauty photos, and it is amazing.
Urban Decay is showing everyone that beauty doesn’t have to be without acne, wrinkles, and freckles — it can be a part of your beauty. It is unrealistic to find someone to be without blemishes and peach fuzz. People shouldn’t feel self-conscious about how they look, whether it is in photos or not. And no one should feel the necessity to achieve absolutely flawless skin because the beauty industry only shows perfect (retouched) photos.
They are sharing photos on their Instagram from makeup artists that have not retouched the images. One photo shows an artist with a vibrant shade from Urban Decay’s Born to Run eyeshadow palette.
The image also shows off her pores, showing that there is nothing wrong with your pores because it is beautiful to just be you. You can have striking shadows and imperfect skin and shine like the diamond that you are.
Beauty shouldn’t feel unattainable. It should feel like you.
