Childish Gambino Drops ‘Feels Like Summer’ Music Video

Childish Gambino, the moniker currently used by musician and rapper Donald Glover, recently released a new music video on September 1st, 2018 for his latest single, Feels Like Summer.

This animated music video first features Glover slowly pacing himself through a suburban neighborhood lit with the warm colors of reds, oranges, yellows. Dashes of static appear now and then on screen, giving the video a resemblance to an old retro video playing along. Glover glances now and then at the liveliness of the community as they’re enjoying the summer season. Many of the residents of this neighborhood resemble numerous famous black celebrities and rappers. Some of the cameos in the video include 2 Chainz, Michael Jackson, Wiz Khalifa, Nicki Minaj, Janelle Monaé, and Michelle Obama.

Ivan Dixon, Glover, and Greg Sharp all collaborated together and took the helm of directing the animated music video. The artist Justin Richburg had created the character designs. After the music video’s release, Richburg had thanked Childish Gambino’s team on his Instagram for including him in the production making of the music video.

Glover is set to headline his This is America Tour across the United States beginning on September 6th, 2018.

Feels Like Summer was released through the record labels Wolf+Rothstein, Liberator Music and RCA Records. The single is now available to purchase, stream, and listen online through multiple platforms.
