‘Eighth Grade’ Star Elsie Fisher Joins Cast of ‘The Addams Family’ Animated Feature
Elsie Fisher will be joining the star-studded cast of MGM’s animated adaptation of The Addams Family.
Oscar Isaac will be playing Gomez Addams while Charlize Theron will be playing Morticia Addams. Chloë Grace Moretz and Finn Wolfhard had also been announced to play Wednesday Addams and Pugsley Addams respectively, the children of Gomez and Morticia. Nick Kroll will be playing Uncle Fester, who is Gomez’s brother, and Bette Middler will be playing Grandmama, Gomez’s mother.
Allison Janney had been cast to play Margaux Needler, a reality television host, while Fisher will be lending her voice for the character of Parker Needler, the daughter of Margaux.
Fisher had most recently gained critical acclaim for her portrayal of Kayla in the summer film Eighth Grade, which was directed by comedian Bo Burnham.

Fisher shared her excitement about joining the film on her Instagram. In her caption, Fisher wrote: “I’m very excited to be a part of this project! Sosososososososososo glad to be doing voiceover work again…” Fisher had done previous voiceover work in both the 2010 animated film Despicable Me and the 2013 sequel Despicable Me 2. She had played Agnes, the youngest of three orphaned sisters, who had an affinity for unicorns.
The Addams Family is set to be released on next year on October 11th, 2019.
