Lady Gaga Receives Standing Ovation at Venice Film Festival
Gaga has never been one to act small on any project she’s tackled. “A Star is Born” is no different.
Premiering at the Venice Film Festival, Gaga and co-star, and director, Bradley Cooper, sat along side a crowd for the first public screening of the movie. With a few glitches and a little extra time, audience members and critics alike took a strong liking to the film giving it an eight-minute standing ovation.

How good is #AStarIsBorn? It’s a total emotional knockout, directed by Bradley Cooper on a high wire of emotion, and he and Lady Gaga are stunning together. This is what movies are all about. My review from Venice: https://t.co/mjZncnuolx

Had the chance to see #AStarIsBorn & it’s as excellent as the trailer. Pays tribute to the previous versions while remaining fresh & surprising. Best Picture & Best Song nominations on the way along with acting recognition for Bradley Cooper, Lady Gaga & (finally!) Sam Elliott. pic.twitter.com/Ec66PPe5fl
