Hundreds Gather At Blue Slide Park In Honor Of Mac Miller

Blue Slide Park won’t forget you Mac.
Tuesday night was spent doing more than our daily routines. Hundreds gathered in Pittsburgh’s Blue Slide Park for Mac Miller’s vigil.
The park is known amongst fans as being a reference from Mac’s debut album. It was a place he spoke about often as he spent a lot of time there when back home in Pittsburgh.
Fans came from different states as much as they did around Pennsylvania to celebrate the rapper. Local artists added to the vigil by creating pieces of Mac around the park.

Mac’s grandmother also stopped by the vigil to thank fans for the gathering and to assure them he loved them and would love everything they were doing following the day of his death.

Along with speaking about Mac, fans shared memories and sang along to his music around the park. Holding hands and giving toasts, everyone celebrated as if Mac was still here.
The Blue Slide Park vigil is only one of many being held around the country. Other sites have been spotted near his home in California.
