Katherine McNamara Joins Cast of ‘Arrow’

Shadowhunters alum Katherine McNamara joins the cast of the CW’s Arrow, as it returns for its 7th season this fall. 

According to TVLine, Kat McNamara will take on a major role in the new upcoming season of Arrow-which premieres on October 15th. TVLine reports that McNamara will have a major, recurring role on the series. Her character was compared to a “Buffy the Superhero Slayer” type.

McNamara’s character, Maya, will be a scrappy street fighter from Star City, reports say. CW released photos of the first episode of the new season, called “Inmate 4587.”

McNamara shared her excitement about the role in a social media post.
