NBC is Celebrating 15th Anniversary of ‘Wicked’ with Kristin Chenoweth + Idina Menzel and Special Guests Ariana Grande + Pentatonix
Your Halloween just got way better. NBC’s A Very Wicked Halloween: Celebrating 15 Years on Broadway special is coming to you October 29th.In celebration of its 15th anniversary, NBC announced that a special concert will be taped at New York’s Marquis Theater in honor of the Tony-Award winning Broadway musical Wicked. It will be hosted by original cast members, Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel, as well as features with Ariana Grande, Pentatonix, and the current Broadway company.

Wicked opened on Broadway on Oct. 30, 2003. From then, the musical has become a household name, winning three Tonys Awards and earning over $4.6 billion in global sales. The company has performed in over 100 cities across 14 countries, and over 55 million people have seen the Broadway show live.

Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth, who portray unlikely companions Elphaba and Glinda in the musical, will likely tribute well-known songs from the show like “For Good” or “Defying Gravity.”
