Frankie Grande Drops Music Video for “The Mad Ones”
Frankie Grande returned to his musical roots with a music cover of “The Mad Ones,” a pop music rendition of the song from the Off-Broadway musical of the same name.
Frankie Grande rocks out in a duet with Emma Hunton as they sing together in “The Mad Ones” music video. The video flashes between Grande and Hunton dancing outside together in a smog of various colors and singing in front of a black drop.

“The Mad Ones” was a song written and composed by Kait Kerrigan and Brian Lowdermilk for the musical of the same name “The Mad Ones,” previously called “The Unauthorized Autobiography of Samantha Brown.” The story was about high school graduate Samantha Brown choosing between following her mother’s advice and going to Harvard or carving a new independent path for herself encouraged by her best friend. An Off-Broadway production of “The Mad Ones” ran for a limited time from November 7th, 2017 to December 17th, 2017.
The Off-Broadway cast included Krystina Alabado, Leah Hocking, Emma Hunton, and Jay Armstrong Johnson. Emma Hunton had previously starred in the Off-Broadway production of “The Mad Ones” as the character Kelly, Samantha Brown’s best friend.
