Marshmello and Bastille Drop ‘Happier’ Music Video
DJ Marshmello and Bastille team up to release a powerful music video about the realities of growing up.
Marshmello’s newest track, a collaboration featuring Bastille, is definitely one that will tug at your heartstrings. “Happier” describes the realization that as much as two people may want to be together, sometimes it’s necessary to let go.
Nothing captures this message more effectively than the song’s music video. The video traces the life of a young girl all the way through adulthood, as she shares precious memories with her dog. Her dog acts as a support system as she goes through the struggles of growing up.
When the pair has to eventually say goodbye to each other forever, the song’s meaning truly shines through. It allows the ability to look back at fond memories while still finding the strength to leave them in the past.
The video stars Miranda Cosgrove, and also includes a cameo by YouTuber, Teala Dunn.
