Charli XCX and Troye Sivan recently released a collab music video filled with tons of references to the 1990’s and it’s absolutely everything.
If you love the 90’s then you will love Charli XCX and Troy Sivan’s new music video. The pair recently collaborated on the song “1999”, and on October 11th they dropped their new music video to the song. The video references literally everything that sums up the 90’s from famous celebrities, movies, fashion, and technology.
The video shows the two dressing up as famous icons like Marilyn Manson, Brittany Spears, Justin Timberlake, and Eminem. While they also reference popular movies like The Matrix, Titanic, and Blair Witch Project, and fashion trends including Sketchers. The video also gives visuals on the types of graphics used on commercials as well as references to AOL chat, Steve Jobs, and Nokia phones. The video is everything we didn’t know we wanted.
