Watch the New Trailer for ‘Ben is Back’

The first full trailer for the upcoming drama, Ben is Back, has been released.

The film follows 19-year-old Ben Burns, who returns to his family’s suburban home on Christmas Eve, after living in an addiction recovery facilitation for 77 days. As the family reunites and attempts to rebuild trust, Ben’s mother, Holly Burns, struggles with believing he will remain clean.

Julia Roberts stars as Holly Burns, and breakout star, Lucas Hedges, stars as Ben. The film is written and directed by the Boy Erased actor’s father, Peter Hedges.

The addiction drama initially premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), and received a rave of positive reviews. Roberts’ role was considered one the “most forceful performances of her career.”

Check out Ben is Back in select theaters, on December 7th.
