Ryan Gosling Appears on ‘Ellen’ Talks ‘First Man’ + Receives a Surprise Gift

Gosling stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show to talk about his new movie First Man, what it’s like working with Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera, and Ellen gives him a surprise gift.

Before being welcomed to the stage, Gosling bumped into an old friend and former Mickey Mouse Club co-star Britney Spears. After sharing a quick slow dance with DeGeneres, he reminisced about what it was like working with Spears and another co-star Christina Aguilera. He says that he remembers them being “freakishly talented.”

They went on to discuss Gosling wearing a bee suit at his mother’s wedding in Italy. The actor was apparently swarmed by bees at a lunch, and he put on a beekeeper suit to handle the situation.

With Halloween just around the corner, he admitted that he leaves his decorations up all year long so they can be  “The Munsters” on the block. After a few laughs, Gosling delved into his new movie First Man and talks about learning to fly in order to get into character for his Neil Armstrong biopic. He even mentions how he loved the spacesuit and its especially great for anyone that has social anxiety.

In honor of his new movie, DeGeneres surprises Gosling with a spacesuit tuxedo and helmet to wear during award season.  Since Gosling does experience social anxiety, she thought it would be the perfect thing to gift him with saying “you can put that on if you want to talk to people. If you want to.”
