Lauren Jauregui Introduces Solo Career With ‘Expectations’

After spending six years as a member of pop girl group, Fifth Harmony, it’s time for Lauren Jauregui to break free.

The 22-year-old kicked off her solo career with the release of a new single, “Expectations”. The soulful tune expresses the struggle with unfulfilled expectations in a relationship, and the disappointment that follows.

Jauregui’s musical career began as a contestant on The X Factor. While she unfortunately didn’t make it through the competition as a solo singer, judge and music producer Simon Cowell grouped her together with four other young artists: Camila Cabello, Dinah Jane, Normani, and Ally Brooke.

The band shared six years of top hits, but decided to split in 2018. The singer is now killing the music game, all by herself.
