Sara Bareilles Announces Her Upcoming Single ‘Armor’
Six-time Grammy-nominated singer Sara Bareilles announced that she would be releasing a new single entitled “Armor” this Friday, October 26th.
“Armor” is the titular single, and the first single, to come off from Bareilles’ upcoming sixth studio album Armor. Bareilles had previously released her fifth studio album entitled What’s Inside: Songs from Waitress in 2015 which included songs that she had written for the hit Broadway stage musical adaptation of Waitress currently starring Nicolette Robinson and The Today Show host Al Roker.
Bareilles made the official announcement about her latest single on social media on Wednesday, October 24, 2018.
“Everything changes!! My big news is new music!!” Bareilles shared on Instagram, referencing the song “Everything Changes” which she had written for Waitress the Musical.
Last Easter, Bareilles played Mary Magdalene on NBC’s Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert! opposite John Legend. Bareilles was later nominated for an Emmy for her portrayal of Mary Magdalene.
Bareilles hosted the 72nd Tony Awards back in June with Josh Groban. Bareilles was also nominated for a Tony for composing the song “Poor Pirates” for the Broadway show SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical among other composers for the show.
