Ben & Jerry’s Releases ‘Pecan Resist’ Ice Cream
The limited edition flavor takes a stand against regressive government policies.
Just a few weeks before the midterm elections, Ben & Jerry’s has released a politically-charged ice cream flavor. “Pecan Resist” is the brand’s newest limited edition flavor, the name serving as a salute to groups fighting against the Trump administration’s policies.
The ice cream’s packaging prominently displays figures of different ethnicities united in a common resistance. Even the flavor itself is a melting pot, blending chocolate ice cream with white and dark fudge chunks, pecans, walnuts, and chocolate-covered almonds.
Today @benandjerrys launches Pecan Resist with my art! This flavor supports social movement groups creating a more just and equitable nation for us all, and who are fighting President Trump’s regressive agenda. pic.twitter.com/PxLtMwZKsg
