Drake Mourns the Passing of a Young Fan
The “In My Feelings” rapper shares a heartfelt letter to a young fan that passed.
Drake is well known for always being there for fans who are going through a difficult time.
Back in August the “Nice for What” rapper skipped a concert to surprise a young fan, Sophia Sanchez, who was celebrating her birthday. Sophia was in need of a heart transplant.
Today, Drake mourned the death of a young fan, Kay, who he recently met through the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
“Gonna miss you a whole lot. We met through Make a Wish and we built a genuine bond you would text me and check on me while I was on tour and tell me positive things and share your dreams and goals.”
Drake also reflected on a regret that he was not able to get back at Kay when she wished him a happy birthday in October.
“I am sorry I missed your text on my birthday that’s eating my soul right now, but you know how much I loved you and was looking forward to seeing you after tour.”
In the picture the rapper posted on Instagram, he is seen crying alongside the bed of the young fan. Drake called it tears of joy.
The Toronto rapper concluded the post by stating that he did not know why he felt the need to share this sentimental post, but it has been weighing on his heart. May Kay rest easy.
