Kehlani Teases Mixtape Release
This is not a drill, Kehlani mixtape is coming.
The “Hold Me By The Heart” singer announced on her Instagram that Kehlani season is upon us.
“Finished a tape,” the singer captioned on her Instagram.
The upcoming mixtape will follow Kehlani’s 2017 highly acclaimed debut album, SweetSexySavage, following her mixtape, You Should Be Here. SweetSexySavage debuted at number 3 on the US Billboards 200 charts and moved 58,000 album equivalent units in the first week. The album received positive feedback and generated a 76 on Metacritic, second to You Should Be Here mixtape, 80.
Kehlani also confirmed on IG live that the mixtape is coming before a sophomore album that is already in the last stages of production. The singer also teased that her new music is more mature, honest and deep.

The “Piece of Mind” singer told fans that she will no longer be making pop songs.
“I’m not making no more pop songs…I’m over it. You are not getting any pop records from me, and if you do, just know it wasn’t my fault.”

In October, the beautiful and talented singer announced that she was pregnant and, on her IG, live she explained the significant impact the pregnancy has on her music.
“I’m clearly going through a very serious journey that is influencing my music, so the music that is going to come before that is fun and nice, so I’m excited for that,” she said.
We cannot wait to hear Kehlani’s mixtape and anticipating the album.
