Danai Gurira Wins ‘Action Movie Star of 2018’ at the People’s Choice Awards

The Black Panther actress won the best Action Movie Star of 2018 at the People’s Choice Awards for her role as Okoye.

Marvel’s highly acclaimed blockbuster, Black Panther was released last year. Black Panther grossed over $1.3 million worldwide for Marvel Studios. On Sunday night, E! hosted the People’s Choice Awards and named the Walking Dead actress as “Action Movie Star of 2018” for her performance as Okoye.

The award is well deserving for Danai because she embraced Okoye and represented all the strong women out there.
