Artists Pay Tribute to Carly Rae Jepsen’s ‘Emotion’ Album
The pop singer’s third studio album is reimagined to raise money for a noble cause.
Carly Rae Jepsen’s album Emotion quickly became known as one of the best records of its genre when it was released back in 2015. Now in 2018, the LP’s beloved songs have gotten a makeover, in the form of a tribute album (titled EMO-TION) released by Something Merry.

Something Merry is a musical collective of Boston-based artists who cover holiday songs to raise money for charity. Some notable bands involved in the EMO-TION project include THE AUX, Cheer Up, and Future Teens, though 15 different artists and groups have lent their talents to the tribute. All the hits from Carly Rae Jepsen’s Emotion album are given a new twist, including the well-known bop “I Really Like You.”
