Billboard Announces Drake as Top Artist of 2018
Billboard has announced Drake as the king of their 2018 year-end charts. This is thanks to his latest album Scorpion, and its heavy hits including “Gods Plan.” He’s the first rap act since 2005 and third rap artist ever to lead the category.

Drake began his music career in 2006 with his first mixtape Room for Improvement. A year later he released Comeback Season which brought him some light as he soon collaborated with Lil’ Wayne in “Man of the Year.” In 2009, So Far Gone was released and received over 2,000 downloads on his blog.
This paved the path to his success with song “Best I Ever Had” which peaked #1 on the Billboard charts in 2009. Since then, he’s had 191 songs in the Hot 100 Charts, 32 Top 10 Hits, and 6 No.1 Hits.
He was also announced as Apple Music “Best of 2018” as he rules the Top 100 Global Album Charts with his double set Scorpion.
