Taylor Swift Joins Hayley Kiyoko Onstage at Ally Coalition Event
She’s the queen of iconic surprises.
Taylor Swift is usually the artist who brings surprise guests out on stage during her shows, but this time, she was the one doing the surprising. Swift made a guest appearance at the Ally Talent Show in NYC last week to surprise her fans.
Swift was introduced by Hayley Kiyoko, a proud member of and activist for the LGBTQ community, to come on stage and sing a stripped-down version of her hit song “Delicate.” Swift played the guitar and Kiyoko even jumped in on the tune to create a gorgeous duet.
Other artists performing at the show included Regina Spektor, Rostam, Lana Del Rey, Jaqueline Novak, and Andrew Dost from Fun. The event was organized by Jack Antonoff, a songwriter/producer and good friend of Swift’s.
Proceeds from the night were donated to The Ally Coalition, an organization that raises money and advocates for homeless members of LGBTQ community. This year welcomed the fifth annual talent show hosted by the organization, and it raised over $200,000.
Taylor Swift deciding to perform at the Ally Coalition Talent Show demonstrates her commitment as an ally to the LGBTQ community, and it’s heartwarming to see. You can watch the full video of her performance below.
