CW’s ‘Jane The Virgin’ is Getting a Spinoff
The CW orders a new spinoff from their hit show, Jane The Virgin.
In the middle of her Miss Bala press attention, Gina Rodriguez posts to Twitter and Instagram that her hit show is getting a spinoff titled, Jane The Novelas.

We got good news from the CW! Jane will be birthing a SPIN OFF!!!!! Jane The Novelas!!!
The show will be in a typical Jane The Virgin fashion with a narrator and following the structure of a telenovela, but this time the narrator will be Jane herself and will be about the stories she had written. Gina Rodriguez will be the executive producer and so will Jane The Virgin writer, Valentina Garza. While the upcoming spinoff is yet to have a premiere date, the fifth and last season of Jane The Virgin is in full swing, setting to premiere March 27. Rodriguez told Jimmy Fallon yesterday, along with her engagement news, that she directed two episodes this season.
