You Need to See Cara Delevigne in Janet Jackson-Inspired Balmain Campaign
The renowned model embodies the iconic artist in this amazing campaign.
Balmain’s creative director Olivier Rousteing has shown us creative and beautiful collections and he is advertising his latest Spring/Summer 2019 collection in a very artistic and poetic way. The campaign features the Rousteing himself and Cara Delevingne and is completely in black and white. The first photograph features Cara wearing Balmain jeans and no top.
We immediately recognized that image from the iconic Rolling Stone cover in which Janet Jackson holds a similar pose. We love when icons inspire other icons.
The campaign focuses on bodies, their lines, and their connections. The campaign is set to be “A symbol of friendship, an ode to an iconic 90s moment and a breaking down of color, race, and skin”. It is completely poetic and although it does not feature any of the SS19 collection pieces, it definitely caught our attention.
