John Legend recently became a member of the EGOT club with Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony awards, but the star set his sights on yet another trophy Monday night. The first audition during his debut as The Voice‘s new coach, the singer turned his chair for country singer, Gyth Rigdon, along with Clarkson and Shelton, but realized he was blocked from coaching the singer. Despite the block, Legend was quick to declare his intentions for this season’s competition. Legend confidently said, “‘I’m not just coming in here just to show up – I’m coming in here to win,” which he quickly proved by winning the opening night’s two four-chair turns. “The Voice trophy – I want to add that to my mantle,” he added.

But that isn’t the only trophy John has his eyes on this year. Pointing to his fellow coaches, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine, he said, “I realize I’m the only man up here who hasn’t won Sexiest Man Alive. I feel like If I’m on The Voice I’m gonna get it,” he joked, with Adam calling it the EGOTSMA – Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony and Sexiest Man Alive.

We’re rooting for you, John.
