Mindy Kaling and Emma Thompson Starring in New Movie
Mindy Kaling and Emma Thompson will star in a new comedy about late night television.
On March 7th we got the trailer for a new comedy from Amazon productions. Not only does it look hilarious, but it will be starring two powerful women working together to make a change in Hollywood. We are all about girl power on the big screen.
The film, entitled Late Night will be about Kaling’s character, a newly hired writer for a late night comedy show host, played by Emma Thompson. The movie appears to parody programs like The Tonight Show and The Late Late Show, going into depth about what it’s like to work on these programs.

Thompson’s character appears to be a no-nonsense professional who is, in Kaling’s words “a little old and a little white,” she leans on the expertise of Kaling to appeal to a new audience and realizes that she truly needs more perspectives than her own to stay relevant.
