Kimora Lee Simmons is Relaunching Baby Phat

This year’s International Women’s Day got even better because Baby Phat announced it is making a comeback.
Kimora announced that she has purchased Baby Phat from and unnamed company and has plans to relaunch the label later this year. Twenty years ago, Simmons was the creator of the brand which was an extension of Phat Farm Men’s label under her former husband Russel Simmons’s Phat Fashion Company. Her daughter, Ming Lee Simmons, also announced the news on Instagram.

According to WWD Kimora said, “When the label is relaunched for spring, it will be a “mainstream sportswear” collection for Millennials targeted to the mid-tier retail level. She plans on tapping into her “amazing personal archive” as inspiration for the collection, which will have “retro” elements that will be modernized, as well as new looks.”

Sounds like we should be prepared for the best trip down memory lane.
