Get ready to fall in love with your favorite stepbrothers all over again! According to Drake Bell, a ‘Drake & Josh’ revival is coming to a screen near you. Bell dropped the news on the iHeartRadio Music Awards red carpet on March 14th.
“We’re working on something,” Bell stated, sharing that he and co-star Josh Peck are currently speaking with multiple networks about creating a new show starring the both of them. “I’m excited. I think we have a great idea.”
The original series ran from 2004-2007 and quickly became a Nickelodeon classic. The pair are both now 32 years old and the show will most likely focus on more adult themes. “[The show] is going to be way more creative, way cooler than just you know the college years or something like that,” Bell added. “We knew that if we were ever going to come back, it’s got to be something cool. I’m excited to see what the fans think.”
Drake & Josh’s friendship has had it’s public ups and downs but the two are excited to be working together again. The duo first began working together on the set of The Amanda Show, almost 20 years ago.
“We’ve known each other for so long, and it really is once in a lifetime in this industry that you get to work with somebody and it clicks like that,” Bell said about Peck. “He’s just got an amazing comedic wit and incredible timing and he’s really smart and we really get along. So I think that it just kind of all goes together.”
