Chloe x Halle Celebrate One Year of ‘The Kids Are Alright’

Instagram

It’s been one year since our favorite duo released the magic that is “The Kids Are Alright” and there is truly a lot to celebrate.

Columbia Records/Parkwood Entertainment

Chloe x Halle released their debut studio album “The Kids Are Alright” on March 23, 2018. The album is made up of 18 tracks with features from various artists such as Joey Bada$$, GoldLink and Kari Faux.

The album release brought a number of other accomplishments to the duo. Their song “Warrior” was used in the Disney movie “A Wrinkle In Time” and “Grown” is the theme song to the Freeform Black-ish spin-off Grown-ish starring Chloe x Halle as Jazz and Sky.  “The Kids Are Alright” was also nominated for a Grammy for Best Urban Contemporary Album and they were nominated for Best New Artist as well. They didn’t take home the grammy but to be nominated is still huge!

To celebrate the 1 year anniversary of the album, Chloe x Halle released a video on their IGTV showing the creation of “The Kids Are Alright”. In the video you can see the girls laying down vocals, making beats and a cameo from their brother who apparently already knew they had a smash on their hands.

They also released a clip of them in the studio, teasing that new music is on the way. We can’t wait to see what’s next for Chloe x Halle!
