Idris Elba Stars In Netflix New Original Series ‘Turn Up Charlie’
Actor, producer, and musician Idris Elba stars in Netflix new original comedy series Turn Up Charlie.
The show centers around titular Charlie (Idris Elba), a struggling DJ and bachelor, who is given a final chance at success when his famous best friend’s ask him to become their “manny” for their problem-child daughter, Gabby (Frankie Hervey). The trailer shows the growing relationship between Charlie and Gabby as he accepts the job all while continuing to pursue his dreams of becoming a famous musician. With Piper Perabo and JJ Feild as his co-stars, the show gives you a 360 effect of finding your path when you feel lost. The eigh-part series is co-produced by Elba’s Green Door Pictures and Reich Brown Eyed Boy Productions, with Elba and Reich serving as executive producers along with Tristram Shapeero. The cast also includes Angela Griffin, Guz Khan, Jocelyn Jee Esein, Jade Anouka, Cameron King and Dustin Demri-Burns. Check out the trailer below.
