Michelle Obama’s Book Could Become the Best Selling Memoir in History
When former first lady of the United States, Michelle Obama released her memoir it was obvious that it would be a bestseller.
Michelle Obama, among many things, is—an inspirational woman, style icon, writer, and she may soon be a record breaker as well. Becoming, which was released in November 2018, sold 725,000 copies and became the best selling book of the year. According to its publisher and Penguin Random House owner Bertelsmann, the novel has sold over 10 million copies since it was released in November 2018. Thomas Rabe, CEO at Bertelsmann said in a conference, “We believe this could become the most successful memoir ever.”

According to Bloomberg, Michelle’s story Bertelsmann’s sales to about $20 billion (the highest it’s been since 2007). This year Barack Obama is set to release a memoir of his own and we don’t doubt that it’ll be another bestseller for the Obama household.
