Kelly Clarkson Had the Best Reaction to This Mistake
Kelly Clarkson is the face of humility as an employee failed to recognize the star.
The singer took to Twitter to reveal the hilarious situation that happened to her at the 2019 ACM Awards. Clarkson performed twice at the awards show, giving two awe-inspiring performances that received standing ovations. However, the highlight of her night proved to be something else. As she was sitting in her seat during the show, she was suddenly asked to move by an employee who assumed she was a seat filler. Awards shows have seat fillers to sit in seats while celebrities are presenting or performing. Once the celebrity returns, the seat filler is asked to move. However, Clarkson took the gaffe in stride, as the star took to Twitter to detail the most memorable event of her night.
She posted, “The greatest thing by far that happened to me tonight was being asked to move because some guy thought I was a seat filler at the ACM’s tonight 🤣😂 #CantWinEmAll 💁🏼♀️Literally, it made my night because he was so serious, and I just politely said no hahaha!!” She accompanied the tweet with a comedic gif of Nathan Fillion in his film The Rookie.

When she wasn’t sitting down, Clarkson was performing with famous country singers Jason Aldean and Dan + Shay. Although she did not win an award, Dan + Shay posted this photo on Twitter saying, “.@kelly_clarkson, you are the coolest.” with Clarkson retweeting saying, “Ditto”.

Congrats to Clarkson for a great performance, and for being the face of grace in an awkward situation.
