Beyonce’s ‘Homecoming’ Live Album Hits Top 10 on Billboards
Beyonce’s “Homecoming” live album hit the top 10 charts on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums this week thanks to the success of her Netflix documentary, Homecoming.
According to Billboards, Beyonce has reached the top once again due to her LP that consists of her 2018 Coachella set. It’s her ninth top 10 set on the chart and surpassed Live at Wembley, a documented tour of her Dangerously in Love Tour, for best showing live album. Her last album, Lemonade, peaked No. 1 for 10 weeks straight in 2016 and now Homecoming is right behind as it’s currently No.4.
The surprise documentary also received major applause as the film paid tribute to the Black experience in America while honoring historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs). The Native Arts and Culture then highlighted five themes Beyonce taught viewers through her film: encouraging Blue Ivy, hard work, Beyonce dreams of attending an HBCU, Olivier Rousteing role in costume design, and Beyonce rightfully crediting herself as the writer, director, and executive producer.
An iconic weekend performance brought the world an iconic documentary created by an iconic artist that has topped the charts once again. Beyonce continues to strive and show the world just how hard she works to be the best.
You can listen to the live album on Spotify, and make sure to check out Homecoming exclusively on Netflix.
