Rami Malek Is ‘Bond 25’ New Villain

Academy Award-winning actor, Rami Malek, was confirmed to be Bond 25’s new villain.

With the success of Bohemian Rhapsody, Malek is rising to the top as he was cast for Bond 25. The announcement was made from Ian Fleming’s estate in Jamaica where the film will be shot along with Norway, the United Kingdom, and Italy. The Oscar winner also made an appearance on Good Morning America where the world was able to meet the new villain as he spoke with George Stephanopoulos about the role.

“This is such a perfect follow up to ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’. Going from one iconic Brit to another iconic British franchise.” Malek said. When asked about his favorite super villain growing up, the actor referenced back to the first James Bond 007 film, Dr. No (Joseph Wiseman). Malek also credits Daniel Craig, as Bond 25 will be his final outing as James Bond.

“A lot of things none of us can do is James Bond. He brings this class to it but this human factor as well and he’s kind of cynical but you’re always rooting for him. It’ll be very interesting to go up against him.” said Malek.

Other confirmed cast members include Jeffery Wright (Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire), Ralph Fiennes (Maid in Manhattan, Skyfall, Spectre) and Naomie Harris (Skyfall, Spectre).

Bond 25 is expected to premiere sometime next year.
