Watch the ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’ Trailer
The trailer for the newest videogame inspired cinematic adventure is finally here. Fans and critics have been skeptical about how Paramount would adapt Sega’s legendary videogame, Sonic the Hedgehog, into a film since it’s announcement several months ago. There are a lot of interesting nuances to the idea of turning this beloved character’s story into a full movie.

In the original Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic, the blue anthropomorphic Hedgehog, had to use his lightning speed to stop the evil Dr. Robotnik from destroying Earth using the chaos emeralds. These emeralds are essentially analogous to Marvel’s Infinity Stones in the Sonic universe. In this new trailer, we don’t know exactly what nefarious schemes Dr. Robotnik, played by Jim Carrey, is planning. However, we know that Sonic, voiced by Ben Schwartz, will be there to stop him.

The trailer, overall, reveals relatively little about the plot except for the fact that Sonic is going to have to save the world from whatever evil plans Dr. Robotnik has cooked up. Sonic the Hedgehog comes out in November, so you only have to wait a few months to see exactly how they handled this interesting adaption.
