Shawn Mendes always delivers when it comes to his music. His latest song, “If I Can’t Have You” is no exception. The recently released song is all about not being able to stop thinking about a certain something and how “everything means nothing” if you can’t have that person fo yourself. Although the song is about missing a person, the beat is vibrant and fun, similar to that of “There’s Nothing Holding Me Back”. It makes us want to get up and dance around our rooms. It is the perfect song to blast in the car and sing your heart out to.
We can tell this song is going to be the next big hit. Even Niall Horan, from One Direction, told us that the song would be a total “banger”.

As if the song was not enough, Shawn also dropped a music video. The music video is completely in black and white and is meant to show how Shawn thinks about this girl throughout every part of his day, from laying in bed to writing songs and even while working out. It is so cute and definitely represents what it feels like to not be able to stop thinking about a certain person. We are completely obsessed with the song and the video. We can’t wait to see what Shawn does next because every time he releases a song, we fall more in love with him. In the meantime, we’ll continue to vibe along to the song.
