Hulu Has Renewed ‘Pen15’ + ‘Ramy’ for Second Seasons
Hulu has announced renewals for its freshman comedies, Pen15 and Ramy, on May 1.Pen15 is described as a comedy series which “depicts middle school as it actually happened.” In the series, Maya Erskine and Anna Konkle star as versions of their 13-year-old selves navigating middle school in 2000. Pen15 has been renewed for a 14-episode second season.

Ramy follows first-generation Egyptian-American Ramy Hassan, played by Ramy Youssef, who is on a spiritual journey in his politically divided New Jersey neighborhood. Youssef writes Ramy, which explores the challenges of being caught between a Muslim community who believes life is a moral test and a millennial generation that thinks life has no consequences. Ramy has been renewed for a 10-episode second season.
Release dates for the new seasons of Ramy and Pen15 have not been announced, but we will be on the lookout.
