Grown-ish returns for their second half of Season 2 with an update on Zoey and her friends after a dramatic crossroads in their lives.
In the trailer, we see that Zoey Johnson (Yara Shahidi) has been financially cut off after a surprise visit from Dre Johnson (Anthony Anderson) and Pops (Laurence Fishburne) last season.
After facing possible expulsion for cheating and not being able to balance her life, Dre decided to cut her off and let Zoey learn to support herself. The second half of the season will continue to focus on important topics like cultural appropriation, mental health, and academic scandal.
The show is scheduled to return June 5th and some fans are relating to her situation.
