For his first single, “New Eyes”, from his upcoming fourth album, Velvet, Adam Lambert gives us sultry.
“I wanted my first single to reflect my current state of mind and to bring listeners into a romantic, earthy vibe,” Adam Lambert says of the new song, “’New Eyes'” is a love letter to innocence and to finding new passions.” The song and music video definitely accomplished the vibe Lambert was hoping to deliver.
The aesthetic of the video is spot-on retro 1970s. Everything from the fashion to the furniture takes you back in time. Within this world, we travel all around, seeing different people longing for a new beginning and for inspiration, which is handed to them by a mysterious woman carrying glowing green items. A Muse perhaps?
Adam Lambert’s vocals expertly underscore the scene. His range is impeccable and the sound is smooth with a great beat to drive the melody. It really just makes us excited to hear what else he’ll have to say on Velvet.
