Marsai Martin Set to Produce a New Film Adaptation
After making history as the youngest producer in Hollywood after executive producing and starring in the film Little, Marsai Martin has returned to the producer’s seat.
The 14-year old boss is set to produce a film adaptation of B.B Alston’s debut novel Amari and the Night Brothers. After a bidding war with Disney, Paramount, and Sony, Universal Studios acquired the rights to Amari and the Night Brothers alongside Marsai’s Genius Productions.
Amari and the Night Brothers is a real-world fantasy following a young black girl on a journey. Along this journey, she discovers hidden powers within herself. Neither the novel nor the film have an official release date but the novel will be expected to be published in January 2021.
