Maverick Sabre’s Single ‘Slow Down’ Features Jorja Smith
Maverick Sabre has put out a smooth sounding single with Jorja Smith entitled “Slow Down”.
The song has a rolling beat layered with acoustics that makes for a sultry duet where you can hear the chemistry. Maverick and Jorja both hail from the United Kingdom and he had a feature on Jorja’s 2016 song “Carry Me Home”.
Sabre began releasing music in 2008 in the form of features in the U.K. and had some singles come out starting in 2011. He released his 2012 debut album Lonely Are the Brave and continued to do mostly UK features and singles. In 2015 he released a collaborative album with Jamaican reggae artist Chronixx called Innerstanding. He has recently gained some attention in the U.S with his newer singles, on trend with the rising popularity of U.K. artists in the U.S., preceding his just-released 2019 album When I Wake Up. His surprisingly soulful voice makes him someone to add to your rotation.
My mother delivered me in Wiesbaden, Germany. I have an African-American father and German mother. I lived there until I reached around age 8 and we moved to Saint Louis, MO. I now attend Truman State University in Kirksville, MO aiming to complete an English major with a Film Studies minor since I enjoy thinking of creative concepts and analyzing film.
