Did You Catch Lizzo’s Performance on the BET Awards?
Catapulting pop/R&B star Lizzo gave a much-anticipated performance of her song “Truth Hurts” at the 2019 BET Awards. She definitely delivered with her elaborate white wedding theme and costumes. The three-tiered white stage with pink and white drapery and decor mimicked a wedding cake. She opened her performance with a veil covering her face and flipped it back to reveal sparkling shades, several chains, necklaces, earrings, and a bracelet to match. Lizzo completely took off the veil and flaunted her white lace body-suit with suspender detail as she descended the top-tier to join her dancers on the bottom-tier.
Her dancers held white, orange, and lilac colored flower bouquets and had white outfits accented with bridal tooling. Halfway through the performance flashing pink lights came on and soon after she pulled out and played her flute as the lights turned an orange color. The flute seemed an audience favorite as they showed the reactions with several people standing, clapping, and singing along.
