The 2019 Emmy Awards Nomination List Has Been Unveiled
The 71 Emmy Awards nominations were announced live on Tuesday, July 16th.
The Good Place actress Darcy Carden and The Masked Singer judge and actor Ken Jeong announced the nominees for the 2019 Emmy Awards and we don’t think anyone was surprised at this years contenders.

This year, Game of Thrones made an outstanding nomination record by receiving 32 Emmy Nominations. Amongst the nominees are Emilia Clarke (Lead Actress in a Drama Series), Alfie Allen, Peter Dinklage, Nikolaj Coster- Waldau (Supporting Actor in a Drama Series), Maisie Williams, Sophie Turner, Lena Headley, Gwendoline Christie (Supporting Actress in a Drama Series, Carice van Houten (Guest Actress in a Drama Series) and more.
Also leading the pack in nominations is Amazon’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (20 nominations), HBO’s Chernobyl (19), NBC’s Saturday Night Live (18), HBO’s Barry and FX’s Fosse/Verdon (17).
Netflix’s highly praised limited series When They See Us is also nominated for 16 Emmy Awards. The nominees include Jharrel Jerome (Lead Actor in a Television Movie), Niecy Nash, Aunjanue Ellis (Lead Actress in a Television Movie), Asante Blackk, John Leguizamo, Michael K. Williams (Supporting Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series) and more.
The film’s director Ava DuVernay thanked the real-life Exonerated 5 for “inviting her to tell their story” and congratulated the entire cast via Twitter.
