‘Orange Is the New Black’ Is Back with Its Final Season and We Are Emotional
On July 26, the Netflix original show Orange Is the New Black dropped its seventh and final season of the show. Throughout the seven seasons, we have grown to love the characters in the show and really got to understand who they are. We are not ready to say goodbye to Piper Chapman, Alex Vause, Red, Crazy Eyes, Tasytee, Nicky and all the others who have impacted our lives throughout this series.
We have seen our favorite characters get released from prison, go through hardships and even seen some of them die.
The show will not end with this season, however; the legacy of the show will live on through the Poussey Washington Fund. Even though Poussey was a fictional character in the show, what happened to her was not fiction and does happen to many women in this country. According to the website, “The Poussey Washington Fund will support eight preexisting non-profits to benefit organizations focused on social issues surrounding criminal justice and policy reform, immigrants’ rights and helping those affected by mass incarceration.”
Orange Is The New Black has spread many important messages throughout its seven seasons and will continue to fight for change through the Poussey Washington Fund. Be sure to check out season seven streaming now on Netflix.
We are going to try and not binge the season and cherish every moment we have left but with a show this good, it might be more difficult than we think.
